With this wonderful 8-2 run over the last 10 games, the Winnipeg Jets have finally made up some ground on the teams in front of them. They still are in 12th place in the Western Conference, only now they sit only 4 points behind Vancouver for the last playoff spot! Exciting times indeed, but there is still a large mountain to climb.
According to Sports Club, the likelihood of making the playoffs is 80% at the 93 point mark. In order to do that, the Jets need to go 17-8 in the last 25 games, or 17-6-2. Still a tall order, but not impossible.
The fact that we are even mentioning the playoffs is a testament to how good they have been for the last three weeks. Bless you Paul Maurice! Tonight is another huge game (they all are now) against Maurice's former team. B Day present for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff? I'm sure that is all he wants todau.
